Do women's bodies change shape at menopause?

For many of us, the answer is yes...or at least, our bodies certainly want to start laying down fat around the middle, even if we've always had a trim waistline.

The reason is partly hormonal. To beat this hormone-driven menopausal weight gain, the solution is threefold
- have a healthy diet and don't overeat
- get a range of exercise, and aim to replace fat with muscle
- cut down on stress - that way, you'll lower the levels of hormones that encourage that menopausal fat belly.
