Insomnia in menopause

A good night's sleep can be frustratingly elusive if you're in the grip of menopause insomnia. If you've done what you can to reduce hot flushes, try dropping caffeine (in tea, coffee and soft drinks) after lunchtime. Cutting out alcohol might help.

Unwind gradually before you head for bed, make your room comforting and quiet and don't keep a TV in there - it's too much stimulation for your brain. You can find out more about tackling insomnia in menopause here.
