Is the imminent end of the holidays and return to work making you feel you need help to destress?
Stress can build up gradually in our lives, and sometimes it's not until we stop for a few days that we realise just how stressed we've been feeling.
One of the most valuable ways to relieve stress, is to allow yourself a little extra time. You don't have to spend the time doing anything exotic. Just reading the newspaper, listening to your favourite music without doing ten other things at the same time, cleaning out your make-up drawer and deciding what you need to replace...these are small enough things to do, and could be accomplished in 30 minutes. But slowing down enough to do them, and permitting yourself the luxury of that time spent serving yourself instead of others - that's the beginning of destressing.
